HizashiCon, named for the Japanese word hizashi (日差し), meaning “sunshine,” brings the warmth of Japanese pop culture to Pensacola, Florida. Reflecting the city’s iconic beaches, sunny skies, and laid-back coastal vibe, HizashiCon celebrates everything from anime and manga to J‑pop, fashion, and cultural exchange.

HizashiCon is Pensacola’s dedicated anime convention, designed to be family‑friendly, inclusive, and authentic. Guided by the Japan‑America Society of Northwest Florida, the event fosters cultural appreciation, creativity, and a welcoming community atmosphere.
